Urban Charge & Park

Creation of a Multimodal Transport Hub

In the framework of the Urban Park & Charge project a ‘best-practice charging park’ was developed, set-up and operated at the EWest research centre at the Green Energy Center Europe. The results obtained from the project directly laid the groundwork for the creation of the first “Multimodal Transport Hub” in Austria.

Pursuit of a

Holistic approach

Based on the global climate adaptation strategies, the Tyrolean climate, energy and resource strategy ‘Tyrol 2050 energy autonomous’ and the existing technical possibilities of e-mobility and power supply, an interdisciplinary research cooperation is pursuing the goal of making charging and parking barrier-free for urban e-mobility.
The ‘UrbanCharge&Park’ project is systematically researching the system and process interrelationships for needs-based access to parking and charging facilities in urban areas.

Establishment of a

Research ecosystem

The research platform is formed by the infrastructure of the Green Energy Center Europe and the experience of the EWest research centre, which focuses on research into ‘Power On Demand Processes’. On this basis, a research ecosystem will be established with which the system, process and product innovations will be worked on in an iterative ‘online process’, making particular use of the resource ‘time’ as a scientific and application-related cross-sectional matter.

Building the

Bridge to Green Mobility

At the Info Corner of the Green Energy Centre Europe, questions about needs-based charging come together. These are systematically recorded, analysed and implemented directly at the centre’s own best-practice charging station. This creates the necessary building blocks for building the bridge to the green mobility future.
